How to Change a Flat Tire

Once there, start loosening the wheel lugs, and raise your car with the jack until the tire is no longer touching the ground. You then want to completely remove the lugs and free the flat tire.
With the busted tire off, it’s time to test the spare. Spare tires spend months if not years out of use, so there is no telling what the state of it is. Using your air pressure gauge, ensure that the level is at the recommended PSI. If not, you can use the air compressor to get it there.
Next, you want to line the spare tire with the wheel studs and place it on. Take the tire iron and screw the wheel lugs back into place. With the spare properly inflated and installed on your vehicle, it’s time to find a professional who can outfit your vehicle with a fresh tire.
