The truck’s base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 unit that delivers 305 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Next up is a 5.7-liter V8 powerplant that generates 410 lb-ft of torque and 395 horsepower. 

At the top of the engine lineup is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 powerplant. Cranking out 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, the supercharged engine is the most powerful of the group.

Bumps and dips in the road are no problem for the RAM 1500 thanks to its standard coil spring suspension or its optional air suspension. Nicely weighted steering and strong brakes make it fun to drive the RAM 1500 even when you’re hauling payload or towing equipment. 

Speaking of hauling payload, the RAM 1500 can haul as much as 2,300 lb. As you probably guessed, the truck can tow a copious amount of weight, too. More specifically, the RAM 1500 can tow up to 12,750 lb with the appropriate equipment.
